Chris Sanders is a business man, community activist, world –class athlete, and a man of passion and compassion. Chris played in super bowl 2000, broke Jesse Owens long jump record at The Ohio State University, and made All-Rookie team in the NFL in 1995. However, Chris believes his greatest achievements have been speaking to young adults through motivational assemblies across the United States. Because mistakes he made nearly caused him to forfeit his scholarship and destiny to play with the elite in the NFL, Chris’s message inspires others not to give up on their dreams. Having been raised in a tough neighborhood and knowing first hand what it feels like to loose his home in the tenth grade. Chris offers no excuses to anyone for what they can’t do. “I can’t” is not in his vocabulary. Chris believes the everyone is “destined for greatness”. He has captivating and entertaining way of challenging others to set goals and achieve the dreams deep down within themselves.

Chris understands that there are many entrapments like drugs, sex, alcohol and violence. Being in the NFL, he has seen it all. He doesn’t boast about what he has overcome. He conveys the freedom in which he now lives and the struggles and determination that it
took to achieve “greatness” in every area of his life. Chris is a well-versed speaker on issues such as abstinence, mens issues, race realations, parenting, and building a strong family.

Chris has been noted for his philanthropic spirit, as evidence through his charity work. For over ten years, he has been actively involved with the various youth programs. In addition, he formed the Chris Sanders Foundation with specific interest in moving displaced families out of shelters and into homes. Football camps and golf tournaments are mainstays of the foundation serving underprivileged children.
