A Message From Merril Hoge â€‹

Everyone is striving for success, but dealing with deadlines, challenges, goals and competition, People point fingers, cast blame and make excuse for their circumstances, however when we challenge people to do their part, success becomes the standard, not just words.

I have learned a lot about success in my NFL Career, in my ESPN career and even the platform I’m on today with speaking and the head and health space, I have also learned a lot about success laying in Intensive care, going thru deep depression, learning how to read again, sitting in a chemotherapy chair battling cancer, along with open heart surgery.

My successes have helped me in assisting companies and people in embracing personal integrity. Self-reflection can have individuals asking themselves, “are you doing your part.” Not only is this a great way to check in on oneself, but it also provokes every drop out of ones God given abilities. When we do this, we put others in charge, and they become more productive and peaceful.

Find A Way ( Keynote Speech )

Everyone is striving for success, but dealing with deadlines, challenges, goals, and competition. People point fingers, cast blame and make excuses for their circumstances, however when we challenge people to do their part, success becomes the standard, not just words.

Merril Hoge & Leadership

Find A Way to improve as a leader! Being a leader is not easy, building a culture everyone can thrive in can be complicated. So, implementing sound principles and rules are important, but what is critical to leadership is influencing and guiding others. Modeling behaviors is also important. Modeling will be more impactful and powerful than just talking about behaviors Merril learned from two of the greatest leaders in NFL history: Chuck Noll and Bill Cowher.

  • Merril has played for two of the greatest franchises in NFL history (Steelers & Bears) and watched the ownership team lead those teams.

  • Merril has also worked under one of the greatest leaders ABC/ESPN has ever had in George Bodenheimer.

Because of these great experiences, Merril has:

  • Led/coached at every level of football as a Head Coach

  • Led many projects at ESPN and for the NFL

  • Led and expanded successful businesses

Merril knows leadership — the good and the bad. All of these experiences allow Merril to help others widen their scope, develop personal growth, and build on skills that help improve leadership qualities. A leader that invests in themselves is more prepared to serve others. Learning how to challenge people, while believing in them, will allow them to get the most out their team. Leaders that influence and guide vs dictate will lead companies to success.
